Blue Glass Perfume Bottles ‘Aqua Vortex’ by Kalki Mansel

Swirly and faceted blue glass perfume bottles. Also available in ruby, mixed greens, hyacinth purple, aquamarine blue and cobalt blue.
The Aqua Vortex is a swirly glass scent bottle with a polished facet. The aquamarine blue colouring shows Kalki’s close relationship with the sea, the swirls on the bottle being interpreted as the swirling of the waves. Imagine a whirlpool full of aquamarine water, or the natural swirling of the ocean wave. This hand-blown glass scent bottle stands at 14cm tall including the stopper.

Choose Aqua Vortex blue glass perfume bottles as gifts for any ocean lover, the perfume bottle being the perfect addition to any woman’s collection of scents. Choose aquamarine blue for cool summer scents, the natural storage method for the perfume meaning you will never waste a drop. Stare into the swirls on the Aqua Vortex hand-blown blue glass perfume bottles and you will be one step closer to nature, the sea, and the sound of the ocean waves.

Blue Glass Perfume Bottles Artist

Kalki’s relationship with glass started at the tender age of 13 when he came across a glass art studio in Northern Ireland. Moving from the South with his family, he would spend as much time as possible hanging out at the Glass Studio he had stumbled across. Kalki finished his secondary school education, spending as much as possible of his spare time at the studio. America was his destination on completing school, and here he would learn more about his passion by visiting several studios and getting to know their individual artists.

On return from America, Kalki enrolled at Sunderland University to study for a BA honours degree in Glass, Architectural Glass, and Ceramics. His passion for glass had intensified during his time in America, and in 2007 he graduated from Sunderland. 2008 took Kalki to Australia, and on his return, he was to start working for the Jane Charles Studio of Glass in Sunderland as well as the National Glass Centre.

Today, Kalki continues to work in Sunderland, for both studios and as a glass blower and practising glass artist. Kalki’s works – including these amazing blue glass perfume bottles – are inspired by many fields including science, the natural world, colour, and culture. Molten glass is the perfect material for expressing and capturing his inspirations, Kalki loves to share his fascination with glass with others through his works.
