Handmade Glass Vessel ‘Carnevale II’ by Massimiliano Schiavon Art Team
Carnevale II is a handmade glass vessel that has an abundance of character. Delicate zanfirico and murrine swirl into the center on one side. Proudly displayed like that of a peacock. Red, orange and blue zanfirico flow round to the other side. Here cold work techniques are evident with inciso, grinding of straight lines, and onda, a wave effect. Resulting in movement throughout the vase.
Carnevale II, is a handmade glass vessel, that will bring joy to any space its resides.
Handmade Glass Vessel Artist
Representing six generations of family glass. Massimiliano Schiavon was born on the 24th of March 1971 in Murano. His curiosity of glass would be elevatable. His yearning to understand how to manipulate glass in shape and colour cultivated him to be the Master he is today.
Working within the family factory, Massimiliano fine-tuned his skills. Drawing together the knowledge of materials, colours, chemicals, and characteristics of different types of glass. Such experience and extensive knowledge empowers Massimiliano to forge any creation he visualises.
Fully established within the international glass world, Massimiliano looked to his dream of owning his own furnace. By re-opening his grandfather’s factory, which laid dormant for ten years. Massimiliano fulfilled his need for more space. Allowing him to increase his productivity to meet demand and explore his creativity.
After six years from the rebuilding of his grandfather’s factory, Massimiliano has established a new empire. Once his family produced the spherical glass of the street lamps. Today it is an environment where his genius invests new forces and creates unique collections.
Massimiliano and his Arts Team have and are collaborating with art galleries all over the world. His work can be found in galleries in Germany, Russia, the United States, and Canada.
Massimiliano thrives on inventing new collections. Together with the Maestri that work with him, he strives to offer unique, novel, glass, that will rival all in the art glass world!
