Blue Bowls’ Artist
Stewart Hearn Glass is a Cambridgeshire Glass artist who is originally from South Shields in Tyne and Wear. Born in 1963, he now works in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire and is one of the most highly regarded glass artists in the UK. He studied ceramics and 3D glass at Sunderland Polytechnic, and his career as a Freelancing Glass artist started in 1992. Stewart has worked alongside many well-known artists such as Annika Sandstrom, and his career continues to go from strength to strength.
His first exhibition in 1985 was in Keswick in the North West of England. Later collections and exhibitions have been held in many major towns and cities across the UK to great acclaim. Stewart also works on commissions from many notables, including leading fashion designers, Blackberry and the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Stewart Hearn has won many awards during his career as a glassmaker, which has already spanned more than two decades.
Stewart has many permanent collections in London and other areas of Britain, including Gloucestershire, his excellence as a glass artist makes a name for him wherever he goes. He is the sole proprietor of his own Glassworks, and his passion for glass and his traditional views on glassmaking shine through in every single piece of glassware he produces, including these gorgeous blue bowls.
