Walnut Console Table Artist
John Jacques is the founder of Radiance Furniture based just outside the beautiful Georgian city of Bath in the South West of England.
John has been working with wood for more years than he cares to remember and started making fine bespoke pieces for his own business in 2012. He was quickly accepted into The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen thanks to the innovation, quality and meticulous design of his work. This was followed a year or two later by being chosen for the prestigious Craft Council Hothouse programme for emerging talent.
His ‘Magnetic Stack’ modular chest of drawer design won Best New Product Award from The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers in 2014. He was approached by Tate Britain to design and make objects to be sold alongside their main summer Barbara Hepworth exhibition in 2015
John’s furniture has been exhibited in many of the top furniture and contemporary craft exhibitions in the country, he’s written articles for British Woodworking magazine and his work has featured in magazines both online and in print.
A couple of years ago John teamed up with another maker he trained with to increase their capacity to take on larger projects. They work mainly around the South West and London.
