Blue Glass Paperweight Artist
Beautiful and colourful art glass, masterfully crafted. Adam Jablonski is a master artist and technician of art glass sculptures. His storied career lasted nearly sixty years, from 1952 until his retirement in 2010. He received many accolades during that time. His work is part of many of the finest collections. In his native country of Poland he has received special commissions of original pieces from Polish Presidents. He is also a twelve-time recipient of gold stars from Polish Presidents. His work has been widely exhibited around the world. He is most proud of the fact that he was the first eastern bloc artist to be exhibited at the Corning Museum of Glass in America.
Mr. Jabonski’s technical proficiency elevated his art. He built his own furnace for heating his art glass. His colourful art glass is the result of a technique he invented for bringing any colour to his art glass. He holds many patents and pioneered a technique for heating shards of metal with molten glass for a unique reflective quality.
