Maciej Habrat glass is playful, absurd and abstract. His style is easily recognized in many galleries all around the world.

Maciej is a Polish-born artist, whose fascination with glass art began at a young age. His father was also an accomplished glassblower and he would spend many hours watching his father create glass masterpieces. He learned a huge amount from his father, who handed down his glassmaking secrets. Needless to say, glass quickly became Maciej’s passion.

After finishing school, Maciej went on to study at the prestigious ceramic and glass faculty at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. He continued his glassmaking education even during his college holidays when he would travel home to Krosno.

After graduation, he returned to Krosno to work with various famous glassworks. Finally, in 1977, Maciej’s dream to design artistic glass was realised when he opened his own company – Glass Studio Habrat. His work has since gone from strength to strength. He has created a variety of sculptures and decorative items using the fusing technique.

Maciej Habrat glass works are in several hundred public and private collections,  across the globe including the UK. German television, ARTE, made a special film about his work and designs, which was broadcast in many countries. Maciej’s unique works were also displayed at The Corning Museum of Glass, USA.

We are pleased to showcase Maciej’s fun and unusual glass artwork at Boha. The artwork is unique and signed by the artist. A certificate of authenticity is attached to each piece of art.
