Strawberry Paperweight Artist
World renowned glass artist and technologist, Adam Jablonski was born in 1936 Wilczkowice, Poland. He began his career in 1952 and through the pursuit of the most innovative works led him to invent several dozen ground break glass technology patents. He invented a method of combining glass and metal filament to create one of a kind sculptures and also created ways to make glass in nearly every conceivable colour. He is the first and possibly the most famous former Eastern bloc artist to have his works exhibited at the world famous Corning Museum of Glass. Many a time, the Polish president in office would order the artist’s works to present them to highly notable visitors such kings or heads of state. Adam Jablonski has retired in 2010, and his work still continue to gain popularity among art enthusiasts.
